| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, diademed and draped, after the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait, occupying the upper portion of the field. The legend ELIZABETH II. arcs along the left rim and NIUE ISLAND along the right rim. The denomination 250 DOLLARS and the date 2014 are inscribed in the lower centre field.
