| Additional information |
Charles III Pribina — Karol III Pribina in Slovak — was the first documented Slavic prince, ruling the Principality of Nitra in the early ninth century. His baptism around 833 AD, conducted under the supervision of Archbishop Adalram of Salzburg, is among the earliest recorded Christianization events in Central European history. The date is debated; some sources place it earlier, at Traismauer.
Niue's role as a licensing issuer for commemorative gold of this scale is well established, with the island's legal tender framework used routinely by European minting houses seeking a nominal sovereign stamp.
