| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central view of the historic medina of Fès depicted in detailed architectural engraving, with minarets, domed structures, and traditional Moroccan rooftops set against radiating sunbeams rising from behind the cityscape. Above the central motif, a bilingual inscription in Arabic and French commemorates the founding of the city of Fès in 808 by Moulay Idriss II.
