Reverse description Central view of the historic medina of Fès depicted in detailed architectural engraving, with minarets, domed structures, and traditional Moroccan rooftops set against radiating sunbeams rising from behind the cityscape. Above the central motif, a bilingual inscription in Arabic and French commemorates the founding of the city of Fès in 808 by Moulay Idriss II. The upper arc bears a large Arabic legend reading '12 centuries of the Kingdom', while the lower arc carries the French legend '12 SIECLES D'HISTOIRE DU ROYAUME'. The denomination '250 DIRHAMS' appears in the lower exergue in both Arabic and Latin characters. The reverse is enclosed within a rope-style beaded border matching the obverse.
