| Description de l’avers | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the upper centre of the field, with the legend NIUE ISLAND arcing to the left and ELIZABETH II arcing to the right along the upper rim. The date 2013 appears below the portrait, accompanied by the Czech Mint mark (CM) and a secondary privy mark. Dominating the lower portion of the obverse are two overlapping heraldic shields from the Rohan family coat-of-arms: the dexter shield displays a field of lozenges arranged in rows, while the sinister shield is party per pale, with lozenges on one half and ermine on the other. The denomination 250 CENTS is boldly rendered in relief at the bottom of the field. |

| Description du revers | A detailed bust of Louis René de Rohan (1734–1803), Cardinal and Prince-Bishop of Strasbourg, is depicted facing slightly left and filling the majority of the reverse field. He is shown in 18th-century ecclesiastical dress, wearing a powdered wig with rolled curls at the temples and clerical vestments with a pectoral cross suspended from a cord visible at the lower truncation. A decorative border of cardinal tassels frames the design on both sides, referencing his ecclesiastical rank. The curved legend LOUIS RENÉ DE ROHAN arcs along the upper rim in incuse lettering. |
