| Obverse description | Central field features the coat of arms of South Ossetia — a snow leopard passant beneath stylised mountain peaks within a circular inner border, surrounded by a beaded ring. The denomination '25 ЗÆРИНЫ' (25 Zarin) is inscribed at the top of the field in Cyrillic, and the legend 'НАЦИОНАЛОН БАНК' (National Bank) arcs along the lower portion. Bilingual inscriptions encircle the inner medallion in Ossetic and Russian identifying the Republic of South Ossetia, with the mint mark 'ММД', fineness 'Ag 925 31,1', and date '2018' positioned in the lower central field. The design is executed in a prooflike finish with a frosted central device against a mirrored background. |
