| Descrizione del dritto | A boldly rendered right-facing lion's head in high relief fills the obverse field, its flowing mane rendered in sweeping, stylized lines radiating outward to the rim. The lion's mouth is open in a roar, with fine whiskers incised in detail. Above the lion's head, a curved Ge'ez legend arcs along the upper rim, while an additional Ge'ez inscription appears along the lower rim. The dynamic, sculptural design is characteristic of the engraving style of Stuart Devlin. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse depicts two standing figures — a woman in traditional dress and a man in workers' overalls — shown facing forward with both arms raised triumphantly, each holding a tool aloft in a pose symbolizing labor and national progress. Behind them, industrial and agricultural motifs are visible in the background field. The large numerals '2' and '5' flank the figures to the left and right respectively, denoting the denomination. A curved Ge'ez legend reading 'ሃያ፡አምስት፡ሳንቲም' (Twenty-Five Santeem) arcs along the lower rim. The composition reflects the socialist-era iconography of the Derg period. |
