The "Hospital in Lahore" framing refers to the Ittefaq Hospital, where Nawaz Sharif's family had longstanding ties — Diana's 1996 visit there was part of a broader humanitarian tour of Pakistan that generated enormous local press coverage. The Seychelles issued commemoratives under its own authority but had no particular connection to Diana, making this one of dozens of small-nation tribute coins rushed to market following her death in August 1997.
