Seabirds are shown in flight above the vessel, conveying the maritime heritage of the islands. Below the waterline, five fish and an octopus are arranged in the exergue area, symbolising the nation's fishing resources. The FAO-themed legend EMMENAH KAANAA · FOOD FOR ALL arcs along the upper and lateral periphery in Latin script, with the denomination 25 RUFIYAA inscribed below. The composition was issued as part of the FAO Food for All programme. |
