The eagle is uncrowned, as adopted for Bank of Russia commemorative coinage. A beaded inner border frames the central device, with the curved legend ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ (Twenty-Five Roubles) arching above and БАНК РОССИИ (Bank of Russia) below the eagle. Additional inscriptions in the lower field include the silver fineness Ag 925, the weight figure 155,5, the mint monogram ММД, and the date 2012 Г. |

Vasily Polenov donated his estate on the Oka River to the public in 1892, making it one of the first purpose-built artist's museums in Russia — predating the Tretyakov's formal public opening by several years. The estate at Bekhovo in Tula Oblast survived the Soviet period largely intact, an unusual outcome for a property so closely tied to pre-revolutionary cultural life, partly because Polenov's descendants remained active in its management throughout the 20th century.
