| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Emperor Nicholas II, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and short beard. The truncated bust occupies the central field, with the imperial legend arranged along the periphery in Cyrillic characters. The inscription reads 'Б. М. НИКОЛАЙ II ИМПЕРАТОРЪ И САМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ ВСЕРОСС.' (By the Grace of God, Nicholas II, Emperor and Autocrat of All Russia). The rim is bordered by a fine beaded inner circle and a dentilated outer edge. |

| Reverse description | The Imperial Russian double-headed eagle, crowned with three imperial crowns, occupies the central field within a beaded inner circle. The eagle bears a central shield on its breast depicting St. George slaying the dragon, flanked by four additional armorial shields on the wings representing various territories of the Russian Empire. The eagle holds an orb and sceptre in its talons. The surrounding legend, divided around the design, reads '2 1/2 ИМПЕРIАЛА * 25 РУБЛЕЙ ЗОЛОТОМЪ. 1896 Г. *', denoting the denomination and date. Two small floral ornaments serve as dividers within the legend. The rim is bordered by a beaded inner circle and a dentilated outer edge. |
