At center, the Arabic numeral ٢٥ (25) occupies the field in large characters. A circular legend in Arabic script reads حُكُومَة عجمَان وَتوابعُهَا (Government of Ajman and Its Dependencies) along the upper periphery, flanked by stars, while the English equivalent GOVERNMENT OF AJMAN & ITS DEP arcs along the lower periphery. The design is framed by a beaded border. |

A finely detailed left-facing portrait bust of Albert Schweitzer dominates the field, rendered in high relief with characteristic features including a moustache and swept-back hair. The legend ALBERT SCHWEITZER curves along the lower left of the bust. Below the portrait, the denomination 25 RIYALS is inscribed in large numerals with the word RIYALS beneath, and a small engraver's initial appears at the lower rim. The coin is struck to proof quality with a deeply mirrored field and a beaded border. |

Ajman, the smallest and least financially stable of the Trucial States, funded its government almost entirely through stamp and coin sales to collectors during the late 1960s and early 1970s. This piece is part of that program — a commemorative with no meaningful circulation history, produced for the philatelic and numismatic trade rather than local use. Schweitzer died in 1965, making this a posthumous issue timed entirely to collector demand rather than any anniversary of note.
