Concorde's connection to the Channel Islands is indirect but real: both Guernseys and the broader Bailiwick jurisdictions leaned heavily into aerospace commemoratives during the late 2010s as bullion-adjacent collector issues, capitalizing on the 50th anniversary of Concorde's first flight on March 2, 1969, when the French-built 001 prototype lifted off from Toulouse with André Turcat at the controls.
