Staßfurt's notgeld issues of 1921 came out of a municipality better known for its potash mining industry than its civic administration, and the Magistrat's reliance on J. P. Himmer in Augsburg — a printer with a long commercial history well outside the immediate region — was entirely typical of the notgeld boom, when local authorities simply contracted whoever could deliver quickly and cheaply at volume.

The DeNG 2#1256.2 reference distinguishes this as a specific variant within the Staßfurt series; collectors should note that minor typographic and color variations exist across the 1256 group, and the suffix matters when establishing which issue you have.
