Obverse description Issued on buff-coloured uncoated paper, the obverse is set in Fraktur blackletter typography throughout. The denomination 'Fünfundzwanzig Pfennige' appears in large script across the centre, flanked left and right by the numeral '25' within ornamental rosette vignettes printed in terracotta-red underprint. The issue date 'Grimma, 21. Februar des Kriegsjahres 1917' is inscribed in the lower central field, below which the issuing authority's designation and two facsimile signatures appear alongside an embossed oval seal of the Bezirksverband; a framed anti-counterfeiting warning legend occupies the bottom margin, and the printer's imprint 'Adam & Co., Nerchau' is present at lower left.
