| Reverse description | Large numeral '25' dominates the upper field in bold relief, with the denomination legend PFENNIG inscribed directly below in block capitals. The lower half of the field features a naturalistically rendered oak tree with spreading branches, acorns, and detailed lobed leaves forming a decorative wreath-like composition. The Berlin Mint mark 'A' appears twice flanking the base of the oak trunk at the lower left and right of the field. |

| Additional information |
Pattern coinage from the late Wilhelmine period was often struck in multiple compositions simultaneously to allow the imperial administration and Reichsbank to evaluate both striking quality and public reception before committing to full production. This particular 25 Pfennig pattern never advanced — Germany's wartime nickel shortage after 1914 made the entire copper-nickel denomination program moot before any of these experimental pieces reached circulation.
