Below the cartouche, in Gothic (Fraktur) script, appear the issuing authority and validity clause, with a manuscript authorisation signature beneath the date line. |

| 裏面の説明 | The reverse continues the two-colour red and blue scheme, with vertical side panels in blue carrying the savings slogan in Fraktur lettering and decorative vignettes of leaping lions. The central dark-red field bears a woodcut-style allegory of thrift: an adult figure presenting coins or documents to a child beside a locked money chest, flanked by a star, above the centenary inscription in Fraktur. The dates '1821' and '1921' flank the central vignette at the top, and the printer's imprint appears in small capitals at the foot. |
