正面描述 The obverse is printed in red, black, and ochre on cream paper, with a bold geometric border of red and dark triangular corner blocks framing the entire design. The large numeral '25' dominates the centre, rendered in an elaborate interlocking calligraphic style over a decorative guilloche-like foliate underprint in yellow-gold. The word 'GUTSCHEIN' appears vertically along both lateral margins, with 'SPARKASSE' across the top and 'TWISTRINGEN' along the bottom; a validity clause and date of issue, 'Den 1. Sept. 1921', with three manuscript signatures, appear in the lower portion.

备注

Twistringen is a small market town in Lower Saxony, and its savings bank — the Sparkasse — issued this note during the acute small-change shortage that paralyzed German retail trade in the early 1920s. Municipal and institutional Notgeld of this period was printed in enormous variety; the G. Hunckel firm in Bremen handled production for numerous local issuers across the northwest, which makes attributing specific print runs to individual towns genuinely difficult without the reference number.

The designer credit to G.K. Rohde is worth noting — named artists on Notgeld are not unusual for this period, when towns sometimes commissioned local commercial illustrators to distinguish their issues.
