| Obverse description | The obverse is executed in a bold Jugendstil illustrative style, signed by the artist H. Zinger in the lower right. A central cartouche bears the denomination '25 Pfennig' in large gothic numerals, below which a shield vignette displays a bust of Mercury wearing a winged helmet, set against a light blue underprint. Flanking the central cartouche are two allegorical figures rendered in fine line work: a bearded armoured warrior to the left and a female figure with laurel wreath to the right, both surrounded by oak leaf sprays. The bold gothic inscription 'HANDELSKAMMER-OLDENBURG' runs along the bottom margin. |
