| Beschrijving voorzijde | The note is laid out in a tripartite horizontal composition on a warm ochre and grey ground with a scrollwork guilloche border. To the left, an oval portrait vignette of Elector Jan Wellem (Johann Wilhelm II, Elector Palatine) in baroque wig and armour, inscribed "JAN WELLEM" above and "1690–1716" below on a ribbon cartouche; to the right, a matching oval portrait vignette of Friedrich Ebert, inscribed "EBERT" above and "1918" below. The central panel carries the denomination "25 Pfennig" in bold gothic script above a handwritten-style text block naming the issuer, the nature of the jubilee voucher, validity date to 30 June 1922, and two manuscript facsimile signatures for the Vorstand and Aufsichtsrat. |

Dellbrücker Volksbank was a small cooperative savings institution serving the Dellbrück district, then still a separate municipality east of Cologne before its absorption into the city in 1922. This note was issued during the acute small-change famine of 1921, when Reichsbank coin had largely vanished from everyday commerce and thousands of local bodies — municipal, cooperative, commercial — were legally authorized to fill the gap with Notgeld.
Heiss & Co. in Cologne-Lindenthal handled a substantial volume of regional Notgeld printing, and the cooperative's note would have been a straightforward commission. The issuer dissolved as an independent entity almost immediately after Dellbrück's municipal merger.
