At the top, the denomination legend in Gothic blackletter script reads "Fünf und zwanzig Pfennig" above the issuer name "SCHWEFELBAD TENNSTEDT i/Th.". At centre, a heraldic shield vignette portrays a mitred bishop figure alongside a rampant lion, flanked on either side by large red numeral "25" denominators. Below the vignette, a redemption clause in Gothic script is followed by two manuscript signatures above the legend "Der Magistrat:", with the printer's imprint "GERHARD STALLING OLDENBURG" at the foot. |
