| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark green and orange on cream paper, with a bold central vignette of the crowned ox-head arms of Sülze set above stylised waves, flanked by tall stylised plant forms. The large denomination numeral '25' appears at the top centre above the word 'Pfennig' in decorative script, while Low German folk verses in cursive script fill the left and right margins.
