正面描述 Green and cream Notgeld note with a decorative border of fine parallel rules. The issuer name 'Notgeld d. Stadt Holzminden' is set in bold Gothic lettering across the upper portion, with the large numeral '25' in a green panel at lower left and the denomination 'Pfennig' in ornamental script to its right. A cursive text block in the lower right states the note's acceptance by the Stadtkasse, with the validity expiry date 'Er verliert seine Gültigkeit a. 1. Mai 1922' along the base, alongside a facsimile signature for Der Rat d. Stadt; the printer's imprint of Gebrüder Jänecke, Hannover appears at the foot.

备注

Holzminden, a small town on the Weser River in Lower Saxony, issued this Notgeld during the hyperinflationary spiral of 1922, when municipal and commercial authorities across Germany were printing their own fractional currency to compensate for the chronic shortage of small-denomination Reichsbank notes in everyday circulation. Gebrüder Jänecke was a well-established Hannover printer with deep experience in securities and official documents, which gave even routine municipal commissions like this one a degree of technical competence that smaller local printers could not match.

The DeNG reference places this within a documented series of fourteen known varieties for this issuer and denomination.
