| Opis awersu | The upper portion of the note carries the issuer's title in bold Gothic script within a ruled panel, above a central rectangular vignette showing a townscape view of Verden (Aller) with the cathedral and surrounding rooftops rendered in multicolour letterpress. Flanking the vignette are two red denomination panels bearing the numeral '25' and the value spelled out 'Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig' in white Gothic lettering against a red ground, each set within a decorative ochre guilloche border. Below the vignette, the municipal coat of arms — a red gateway with a bishop figure and a white shield charged with a black cross — is centred between the bearer payment clause and the date of issue, with a serial number at lower left and a manuscript signature at lower right. |
