| Описание лицевой стороны | Printed in orange-red on cream paper, the obverse is arranged in three vertical panels: the flanking panels each contain a standing figure within an arched niche — armoured male at left, draped female at right — set amid foliate ornament, while the central panel presents the municipal coat of arms of Zerbst (a turreted gate above a rampant bear, enclosed in a laurel wreath) with the denomination numeral '25' and 'Pfg.' at upper left and right respectively. Below the arms, a scrolled banner carries the legend 'Gutschein' and the serial number, with the issue date 'Zerbst, den 1. Juli 1921' and a manuscript signature of 'Der Magistrat' at lower right. The printer's imprint 'Louis Koch — Halberstadt' appears at the foot, and a validity clause in small type runs across the lower margin. |

The denomination numeral '25' is repeated in each corner, and the place name 'Zerbst in Anhalt' is inscribed in a decorative panel at the top. A lower ribbon banner carries a rhyming German-script couplet referencing local sausage and bitter beer. |
