| Descrizione del dritto | Printed on orange-buff paper in a bold Art Nouveau letterpress style, the obverse carries the town name GOLDAP OSTPR. and the legend NOTGELD 1921 in large decorative Gothic lettering across the upper portion. The denomination numeral 25 appears in large ornamental figures at left and right, beneath which PFENNIG is inscribed, flanking a central vignette of the Goldap civic arms — an eagle displayed on a quartered shield with oak-leaf sprays in green — set against a pale green horizontal band. Validity and redemption notices are placed in the upper lateral panels, with two manuscript signatures of the Magistrat below and the designer credit ENTW: ARCH. HANS PHILIPP at lower right. |
