| Obverse description | The note is divided into three vertical panels with a red border frame throughout. The central panel bears an octagonal vignette with a red surround, enclosing a detailed letterpress illustration of a vaulted Gothic arcade or passageway viewed in perspective; below it, the denomination '25 Pfg.' is rendered in large red script above the date 'D. 16.
