Obverse description Printed in blue on cream paper, the obverse centres on a panoramic vignette of Köben's townscape flanked on either side by two heraldic shields supported by allegorical figures. The city arms — a crossed anchor and key — occupy the centre top between the denomination numerals '25' in each upper corner. The Goethe quotation 'Nach Golde drängt, am Golde hängt doch Alles' arches above the central vignette, while the body text below records the payment obligation, issue date of 24 December 1920, and bears the circular Magistrat seal alongside two manuscript signatures.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in blue on cream paper and carries a large, detailed engraved vignette of the Köben townscape as seen from across the Oder river, with church spires and gabled rooftops rendered in fine line work. Below the cityscape, the municipal coat of arms is set within an ornate cartouche. The denomination '25' appears in each upper corner flanking the word 'Pfennig', and the printer's imprint 'FLEMMING - WISKOTT A.-G. GLOGAU' runs along the lower margin beneath the bold gothic-script legend.
