| Obverse description | Violet and black Notgeld note with a wide violet outer border enclosing a ruled frame. The central field carries a fine vertical-line guilloche underprint over which the large denomination numeral '25' appears in violet as a ghost figure, overlaid by the bold letterpress inscription 'Gut 25 schein' and the spelled-out value 'Fünfundzwanzig Pfennig'. Below, the place and issue date 'Berga (Elster) 22. Juni 1920.' are set in letterpress, followed by the authority line 'Der Stadtgemeindevorstand' and a manuscript facsimile signature. The validity line 'Gültig bis 31.
