| Popis líce | The obverse is set within a fine decorative border with a scrollwork underprint in pale ochre tones. Three historical siege coins of Jülich — recalling the sieges of 1543, 1610, and 1621 — are arranged as vignettes across the upper half, with the central coin bearing the inscription '1621 IN BE LE' surrounded by denominations, and flanking coins showing a crowned monogram and a rampant lion respectively. The denomination '25 PFENNIG' is printed in bold letterpress below, with the issuer legend 'STADT JÜLICH' in vertical text along the left margin, a red serial number along the right margin, and the date 'den 31.12.1919' with the Bürgermeister's manuscript signature at the foot. |
