Dat hinter grüner Haide
Da liegt der grüne Wald,
Und hinter dunklem Walde,
Viel Länder mannigfalt,
Und hinter fernem Lande
Des Meeres Woge schwellt,
Und hinter Meeres Rande
Da ruht die weite Welt.
Die weite Welt liegt offen
Der Sehnsucht deiner Brust,
Ein unbegrenztes Hoffen
Auf unbegrenzte Lust.
Da liegt sie dir zu Füßen
Im lichten Zauberschein
Und ladet mit holdem Grüßen
Zum Werben um sie ein.

Opmerkingen

Feldberg in Mecklenburg was a small lakeside town, and like thousands of German municipalities it turned to Notgeld between 1917 and 1922 to address the chronic shortage of small-denomination coinage. The Rat der Stadt had no printing infrastructure of its own — these notes were almost certainly contracted to a regional printer, as was typical for Mecklenburg Kleingeldscheine of this period. Whether this example dates to the emergency issues of 1917–1919 or the later collector-oriented Serienscheine wave matters considerably for understanding its original purpose.

By 1921, much of what municipalities called "emergency currency" was being printed speculatively for the philatelic market, not for a cashier's drawer.
