The entire composition is enclosed within a gold-ruled border on a plain paper ground, signed in the lower right margin by the designer C. Metzger. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Cream ground with an arabesque guilloche underprint in gold, over which two large crossed keys are printed in pale rose as a central underprint motif — the heraldic emblem of Regensburg. The denomination '25' and the word 'PFENNIG' are set in large dark blue letterpress type at the top. Below, a four-line validity clause is followed by the year '1918', the issuing authority 'STADT MAGIST.' and a manuscript signature for the Oberbürgermeister. The printer's imprint 'DRUCK U. H. SCHIELE, REGENSBURG' appears in small type along the bottom margin. |
