Obverse description The Finnish State Coat of Arms occupies the central field, depicting a crowned rampant lion to the left, its right forepaw replaced by an armoured hand brandishing a sword, while the hindpaws trample upon a sabre. The shield is rendered in a plain unadorned style consistent with wartime copper coinage. The four-digit date is divided by the coat of arms, appearing in two parts in the left and right fields respectively, accompanied by the mint master's initial below.
