This piece was struck by the Pobjoy Mint, which has held the Saint Helena contract for decades and is responsible for the bulk of the island's modern commemorative output.
Gold-plated copper-nickel is a format Pobjoy leaned into heavily during this period, threading the needle between visual appeal and a price point accessible to non-bullion collectors.
