| Obverse description | Central device depicts the traditional plumed crown of the Shah dynasty, ornately decorated with jewels and floral motifs, rendered in relief against a flat field. A circular Devanagari legend surrounds the central device, reading the full royal titulature of King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev along with the word Nepal. The date in Bikram Sambat era numerals appears at the base of the design below the crown. The entire design is contained within a beaded border running along the coin's rim. |
