Obverse description Central device depicts the traditional plumed crown of the Shah dynasty, ornately decorated with jewels and floral motifs, rendered in relief against a flat field. A circular Devanagari legend surrounds the central device, reading the full royal titulature of King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev along with the word Nepal. The date in Bikram Sambat era numerals appears at the base of the design below the crown. The entire design is contained within a beaded border running along the coin's rim.

Reverse description The numeral '25' in large Devanagari characters dominates the central field, flanked symmetrically by two upright sprays of grain or wheat, symbolising agricultural prosperity. Above the central numeral, the legend 'श्री भवानी' (Sri Bhavani) is inscribed in Devanagari script, invoking the goddess. Below the numeral, the denomination 'पैसा' (Paisa) is inscribed. The year in Bikram Sambat numerals appears in the lower portion of the field. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.
