| 正面描述 | Central field depicts three figures in dynamic composition against a mountainous landscape: two armed sword dancers in traditional Albanian costume brandishing raised swords, and a seated musician playing a drum at lower center. The figures are rendered in high relief with considerable artistic detail. A beaded border frames the design. The legend SHQIPËRI ALBANIA arcs along the upper periphery in bold raised Latin letters. |

Issued to mark the 500th anniversary of Skanderbeg's death, this series was produced under Enver Hoxha's isolationist government at a moment when Albania had recently broken with the Soviet Union and was consolidating its alignment with Mao's China. The commemorative program served a pointed nationalist purpose — Skanderbeg, who held Ottoman forces at bay for over two decades in the mid-15th century, was the ideological anchor of Albanian identity that Hoxha's regime exploited aggressively.
At 83.33 grams of .999 fine silver and 60mm across, these were never intended for circulation. Mintage figures for the series remain poorly documented in Western references.
