Reverse description The large numeral '25' dominates the upper-central field, with the Cyrillic denomination legend КОПІЙОК (kopiiok) inscribed beneath in bold upright characters. The entire design is framed by a decorative wreath-like border of sinuous vine motifs interspersed with small berry clusters, encircling the field and lending an ornamental character to the composition. The field is otherwise plain, directing full visual emphasis to the face value.

Additional information

Ukraine's first post-Soviet coinage was prepared before the country had established functioning mint infrastructure of its own. The earliest 25 kopiiok pieces were struck at the Lugansk Cartridge Factory — a munitions plant repurposed for coin production — while a dedicated mint was still years from operation. Issues lacking a mintmark correspond to this transitional arrangement, before the Luhansk facility began applying its own identifying mark.
