Descrizione del rovescio	The reverse features a stylised composition depicting groundnut plants, Nigeria's principal agricultural export, with several elongated groundnut pods rendered in relief arching across the upper portion of the field. Below the pods, a pyramidal mound of groundnuts is depicted in the centre-right of the field, referencing the famous groundnut pyramids of northern Nigeria. To the left, the large numeral '25' dominates the field, with the denomination legend 'kobo' inscribed in lower-case letters along the lower periphery.

Informazioni aggiuntive	Nigeria decimalized its currency on January 1, 1973, replacing the pound system with the naira and kobo. The 25 kobo occupied an awkward middle position in the new coinage hierarchy, and the series was relatively short-lived — by the late 1970s, inflation had already begun eroding the purchasing power that made smaller-denomination coins worth producing in copper-nickel rather than cheaper alloys.
