Reverse description The reverse displays the Haitian coat of arms at centre, featuring a royal palm tree flanked by trophies of cannons, cannonballs, anchors, and crossed flags arranged symmetrically on a grassy mound, with a Phrygian cap at the apex of the palm. A ribbon scroll beneath the arms bears the national motto L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE. The legend LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE arcs around the upper periphery. The denomination 25 GOURDES and the date 1971 appear in bold relief in the lower field, flanked by the mintmark indicators 1000 and IC. A fine beaded border frames the entire design.
