Below the cartouche, the French legend REPUBLIQUE LIBANAISE is inscribed in two lines within a curved banner. The whole design is enclosed by a beaded inner border with a plain outer rim. |

| Popis rubu | Two cornucopias crossed at their bases and bound together at the center, overflowing with fruits and flowers, fill the central field. The Arabic denomination خمسة وعشرون غرشا (twenty-five piastres) is inscribed in two lines in the upper field above the cornucopias, with the Eastern-Arabic numeral ٢٥ at the top. The numeral 25 in large Western digits appears below the crossed horns of plenty, with the French legend PIASTRES directly beneath. The word ESSAI, designating this piece as a pattern or trial strike, appears at the lower margin. A beaded border encircles the entire design. |
