The denomination 25 FRANCS is inscribed in the lower field, flanked by the weight designation 2 OZ to the left and the fineness mark Ag999 to the right. A circular legend in Kirundi reads IBANKI YA REPUBLIKA Y' UBURUNDI around the upper periphery, with the motto UBUMWE · IBIKORWA · AMAJAMBRE continuing below. The entire inner design area is set against a frosted field, while the broad outer border is decorated with an elaborate geometric fret pattern rendered in contrasting polished and antiqued silver. |

| Description du revers | Two dynamic rearing horses with flowing manes and flaming bodies are depicted facing each other in high relief against a frosted field, their dramatic postures evoking power and vitality associated with the Chinese zodiac Year of the Horse. Between the horses at centre, a small square gold-plated cartouche bears a stylized Chinese horse character. In the lower half of the field, a large circular inlaid dark green jade disc is set into the coin, carved in relief with the profile of a galloping horse with a flowing mane. A small incuse Chinese character 馬 (horse) appears at lower left. The curved legend YEAR OF THE HORSE arcs across the upper periphery, with the date 2026 below it. |
