| Reverse description | Two dynamic rearing horses with flowing manes and flaming bodies are depicted facing each other in high relief against a frosted field, their dramatic postures evoking power and vitality associated with the Chinese zodiac Year of the Horse. Between the horses at centre, a small square gold-plated cartouche bears a stylized Chinese horse character. In the lower half of the field, a large circular inlaid dark green jade disc is set into the coin, carved in relief with the profile of a galloping horse with a flowing mane. A small incuse Chinese character 馬 (horse) appears at lower left. The curved legend YEAR OF THE HORSE arcs across the upper periphery, with the date 2026 below it. |
