The circular legend IBANKI YA REPUBLIKA Y' UBURUNDI appears along the upper periphery in two lines, with the Kirundi motto UBUMWE-IBIKORWA-AMAJAMBERE arcing beneath it. The denomination 25 FRANCS and date 2024 are inscribed in the lower field, flanked by the weight 38.8 g to the left and the fineness Ag 999 to the right. |

This is a collector-market issue produced for the numismatic trade, a category in which Burundi's central bank has been a prolific participant since the 2000s — licensing its authority to mint for export revenue rather than domestic circulation. The coins never circulate in Burundi and are rarely if ever seen there.
