Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, rendered in high relief with fine detail in the hair and crown ornaments. The portrait is the fourth definitive effigy sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley, identified by the engraver's initials 'IRB' incuse below the neck truncation. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the upper left rim and 'COOK ISLANDS 2016' along the upper right rim, both in raised Latin lettering. The denomination '25 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower rim. The antiqued silver finish imparts a deep, toned appearance to the field and devices.

Reverse description A richly detailed, deeply sculpted composition depicting a group of Norse deities in dynamic poses against a backdrop evoking the world-tree Yggdrasil. Prominent figures include a central enthroned god, a warrior brandishing a hammer (Thor), a helmeted valkyrie-like figure bearing a spear and shield at left, and an armoured deity with a sword at right, among others, all rendered in high relief with exceptional sculptural depth. The entire scene is framed by an intricate interlaced Celtic knotwork border encircling the inner field. The legend 'NORSE GODS' arcs in raised letters along the upper rim within the knotwork border, and the date '2016' appears at the base. The antiqued finish accentuates the dramatic relief and fine surface detail throughout.
