Aanvullende informatie

The Battle of Guadalcanal, fought from August 1942 through February 1943, was the first major Allied offensive in the Pacific Theater and the first time Japanese ground forces were decisively repelled. The six-month campaign cost the U.S. Navy more ships than any other engagement of the war, and Japan's subsequent withdrawal marked the strategic turning point that ended her expansion in the Pacific.

Niue's commemorative gold program is one of the more commercially active in the Pacific island series, with coins struck under license arrangements that bear no meaningful connection to the issuing territory. The KM#3073 reference places this squarely within that collector-market framework.
