The Czech Lion bullion series, struck at the Czech Mint in Jablonec nad Nisou, has built a following since its silver incarnation launched in 2017 — the gold iterations occupy the upper tier of what has become one of Central Europe's more commercially successful modern bullion programs. Niue's role here is purely nominal; the Cook Islands and Niue arrangement with private mints for legal-tender bullion is a well-worn licensing structure with no meaningful monetary connection to the issuing territory.
The Czech Mint's .9999 fineness specification places this above the traditional .9999 threshold only in marketing terms — a distinction without practical difference for the half-troy-ounce format.
