Obverse description The complete national arms of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield displaying three ships on waves, supported by a scarlet ibis to the left and a cocrico bird to the right, both standing on a grassy mount. Above the shield rests a helmet and mantling surmounted by the national crest — a palm tree with a ship's wheel. A scroll below the supporters bears the national motto in the legend. The country name REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO arcs along the upper periphery in bold Latin lettering, and the motto TOGETHER WE ASPIRE TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE appears on the ribbon at the base. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border, with the Franklin Mint mark FM appearing in the field.
