A large blue overprint of "TWENTY-FIVE" dominates the centre, overlapping the denomination numeral "25" in black at both lateral margins and the mixed-case "Twenty-Five Cents." inscription; the date "Tallahassee, Feb'y. 2nd, 1868" and two manuscript signature lines for Governor and Treasurer appear in the lower portion, with the red pledge legend "The Public Lands of the State pledged." along the bottom edge. A red italic receivability clause runs across the top above a wavy rule. |
