| Description de l’avers | The national coat of arms of Barbados occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with a polished proof-like finish against a mirror field. The shield displays a bearded fig tree flanked by two pride-of-barbados flowers, supported to the left by a dolphin and to the right by a pelican, both rendered in fine detail. Above the shield appears a helmet surmounted by a hand grasping two crossed sugar cane stalks as the crest. A scroll below the shield bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY.
