Obverse description The national coat of arms of Barbados occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with a polished proof-like finish against a mirror field. The shield displays a bearded fig tree flanked by two pride-of-barbados flowers, supported to the left by a dolphin and to the right by a pelican, both rendered in fine detail. Above the shield appears a helmet surmounted by a hand grasping two crossed sugar cane stalks as the crest. A scroll below the shield bears the national motto PRIDE AND INDUSTRY. The legend BARBADOS arcs along the upper periphery, while TWENTY FIVE CENTS curves along the lower border, all in raised Latin lettering.

Reverse description The central field features a richly detailed pirate-themed composition enclosed within an inner circle, depicting two open treasure chests overflowing with gold coins and jewels, a compass rose in the foreground, and a parrot perched atop the right-hand chest. A large stylised skull looms in the background to the upper left, while a detailed treasure map fills the upper right portion of the inner field. The surrounding border is decorated with alternating skull-and-crossbones motifs and circular coin emblems arranged at regular intervals. The legend PIRATE'S GOLD arcs along the upper border in raised letters, and the date 2018 appears in the exergue at the base.
